Daughter of General White to Be Laid To Rest

Salem, May 13 (Special) – Funeral services for Mrs. Henriette White Routh, 28, who died at the home of her parents, Major-General and Mrs. George A Whie, here yesterday, will be held at 1:30 P.M. from St. Paul’s Episcopal church here. Bishop Benjamin Dagwell will officiate, with interment in the family plot in Riverview cemetery, Portland.

Mrs. Routh was prominent in Salem social circles and in philanthropic work. She was a charter member of the Spinster, philanthropic debutante organization.

Born in Portland, Mrs. Routh received her early education there and in Salem. She later attended St. Helen’s Hall, Oregon State College, Reed college and took studies at the University of Hawaii.

Mrs. Routh had traveled extensively, both in the United States and abroad. Her journeys took her to all parts of the United States, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Philippine islands, China and Japan.

The body will rest in the Episcopal church here from 10:30 A.M. tomorrow so that friends may have the opportunity to see her before the final rites.

Special music for the services will be furnished by Mrs. Richard Krieger, organist, and Miss Margaret [illegible], both close friends.

Pallbearers will be Lieutenant-Colonel R. F. Olson, Lieutenant-Colonel Clifton M. Irwin, Lieutenant-Colonel Ralph P. Cowgill, Captain Armin E. Berger, Captain Goron D. Stryker and Captin A. L. [illegible].

Surviving are the widower, Jack Routh, the parents, and a sister.

Mrs. Routh had been ill for several weeks.
