Kathleen "Doats " DeGroat, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2014, at the age of 94 surrounded by her loving family. Born to William and Agnes Woodbury on March 21,1920. She was a faithful member of the Wayne Hose Ladies Auxiliary for 61 years.
Kathleen is survived by her three children, Merlin "Tim" and Marge DeGroat, William and Barbara DeGroat and Kathleen Brooks. She was predeceased by her husband Merlin "Turk" DeGroat, her son Alfred "Jake" DeGroat, son inlaw Vince Brooks and her sisters Agnes, Val and Madge. She was adored and loved by her 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, nieces, nephews and her countless friends including her good friend Shirley Gizas.
Family and friends may call at the Edward C. Finn funeral Home on Thursday, November 20 from 3 to 9 PM. A Funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday at 10 AM with burial to follow at Mt. Repose Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY
