Lonnie Keith Gibson, 63, of Elkhart, died Wednesday, March 18, at home.

Lonnie was born on June 7, 1951 in LaPorte to Hatcher and Joyce (Boatman) Gibson.

On February 15, 1997 he married Rose Gibson. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2008.

Lonnie is survived by his parents, Hatcher and Joyce Gibson, Elkhart; daughters, Christina Dunmire (William) and Tina Foist (Jason), both of Nappanee; 9 Grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Joy Lynn Gibson, Jacksonville, FL and Vicky Ellsworth, Elkhart; brother, Raymond Ellsworth Jr., Elkhart and his beloved dog, Buffy.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jodi Gibson, his first wife, Connie Furney, and a great grandchild.

Lonnie proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver by trade. Lonnie was an old school biker, who loved to ride Harleys. He enjoyed maintaining contact with his biker buddies and his brothers in arms from his Vietnam days. His constant companion was his dog, Buffy, who traveled with him and also has her own side car.
