.--Eugene F. Pike
SPOKANE - Graveside services were held for Eugene F. Pike, 90, on Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Gale Fister officiated. Mr. Pike died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, in Spokane, his home for the past 10 years.
Mr. Pike was born Oct. 18, 1911, in St. Paul, Minn., and grew up in Kalispell, where he graduated from high school.
In 1938, he married Emma Teig in White Sulfur Springs. They moved to Vancouver, Wash., where he worked as a machinist in the shipyard during World War II. In 1946, they moved to Missoula, where Mr. Pike was the manager of the Missoula Electric Co-op until his retirement in 1977.
Mr. Pike was active in the Gideons Society and the Missoula Hellgate Antique Car Club, during which time he restored and enjoyed several antique cars. He was also a member of the Full Gospel Businessmen Association and active in the N.W. Public Power Association.
Survivors include his wife Emma; two daughters and their husbands, Ellen (Max) Spalding and Susan (Greg) Hicks; one son, Stephen Pike; four grandsons; one granddaughter; and six great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike and Steve Ewan, Mark and Scott Hicks and Carl and Heidi Rockstrom.
Sunset Memorial Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
