Mrs. Melinda Gayle Griffin, age 55, of Aiken, SC, daughter of the late Roy Kenneth Herring and Ruby Lee Herring, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Griffin of Aiken, SC; sons Bradley Griffin and Matthew Griffin of Aiken, SC; sisters Tina (Tony) Watts of Batesville, MS and Miranda Citrone of Batesville, MS. She was born in Marysville, CA, lived for many years in Batesville, MS, and had come to love Aiken as her home.

She was an active member of Cedar Creek Church in Aiken, SC, where she served God in children's ministry and in her H.O.M.E. Group. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who was passionate about her family. She had a servant's heart and loved helping others in need. Her bright smile and joyful spirit endeared her to many. She shall be greatly missed by her family and many friends whose lives she touched; however, she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Cedar Creek Church, Banks Mill Campus, with Pastor Phillip Lee officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service on Saturday, March 7, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Creek Banks Mill Nursery Toddler.
