Ethel Newcomb Field Beatty was the daughter of Marshall Field and Nannie Douglass Scott Field of Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Her first husband was Arthur Magie Tree.

Secondly, she was the wife of Admiral David Beatty. He is buried in London.

Her son, Arthur Ronald Lambert Field Tree, is also buried in this same cemetery.
