"BRANDON, Fla. — Ralph L. Bowen, age 79, of Madison, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, Fla.
He was born Sept. 2, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Harry and Marie (nee Gilde) Bowen. He married the love of his life, Donna Young and was a lifelong area resident.
Ralph worked as an Engine Tech at Lubrizol in Wickliffe for many years. He was a member of the Lake Shore Lodge #307 A&FM, Ohio Arrow’s Camping Club, as well as the Western Reserve Chapter of AACA. Mr. Bowen took great interest in Antique Cars and was a member of the Dodge Brothers Car Club. Recently he started focusing his talents on working with stain glass.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Susan (Sam) Britton of Madison; son, Daniel (Kathleen) Bowen of South Carolina; grandchildren, Michael (Kellie) Bowen, Nicole Bowen, Heather (Greg) Welch, Sadie (Kurt) Gardner; and great-grandchildren, Izabelle, Luke, and Alex.
Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Bowen; and his parents.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 22nd, at BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 23rd, at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
Should friend’s desire, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Lakeshore Lodge #307 A&FM, P.O. Box 37, Madison, Ohio 44057.
