Catherine attended school in Bellefonte and was a homemaker. She had worked at the Bellefonte Match Factory and the Glass House. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
She was a wonderful cook, baker and gardner. You never left her home without eating. She was always ready to help everyone. Catherine was the last of her generation.
She is survived by one daughter, Mae (Sam) Strouse of Bellefonte, five granddaughters; Natalie (Dan) Dolan, Mary (Skip) Hockenberry, Shirley (John) Schnarrs, Sharon (Randy) Confer, Carol (Mike) Sumner; fourteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Ludick, and Annie Simco, six brothers; Charles, Andrew, John, Frank, Mike and Steve Simco.
