BRYSON CITY. Aug. 25-Funeral services for Mrs. Avoline (Aunt Sallie) Gibson who died Tuesday in her home in Leatherwood Hill here will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Morning Star Baptist Church. Burial will be in Watkins Cemetery.
Mrs. Gibson was the widow of Jule Gibson. Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Minnie Parish of Bryson City: three daughters, Mrs. Neal Jackson, Mrs. Delia Powell and Mrs. Julie Davis of Bryson City; a son, Wade of Canton; four sisters, Mrs. Earle Clinton of New York City, Miss Annie Parish, Mrs. Leona Clinton and Mrs. Kate Smith of Bryson City. Also three brothers, George Parrish of Bryson City, Jess Parrish of Kentucky, and Clyde Parrish of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 22 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Moody Funeral Home is in charge.
