Donnie Earl Clark, SR, 77, of Ashford, Alabama, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Mount of Olives Cemetery in Cottonwood, Alabama with Reverend David Dollar officiating and Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. tonight at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of a daughter, Marcia Jones.
Born in Columbus, GA, Donnie was a son of the late Whit Columbus and Mary Watford Clark. He worked as a Truck Driver for Dolly Madison for 42 years earning the three Million Mile safe driving award, and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Phenix City, Alabama.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Richardson Clark, Ashford, AL; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie Earl (Cynthia) Clark, JR, Ashford and Ranse (LeAnn) Clark, Wisconsin; three daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa (Timothy) Meadows, Houston, TX, Cynthia (Scott) Blanchard, Crossby, TX and Marcia (Kris) Jones, Cottonwood, AL; two brothers, Doyle Clark, Cottonwood, AL and Rudy Clark, Columbus, GA; two sisters, Betty Gay, Jacksonville, FL and Shirley Gaus, Harris County, GA; thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers are Chase Turbitt, Lance Anderson, Chad Meadows, Kyle Anderson, Kevin Offutt and Chance Meadows.
