WINNIE M. POWELL HUNTINGTON - 1912-1998
Winnie M. Powell, 86, of Huntington, who belonged to First Church of the Nazarene in Huntington, died Friday, Aug. 7, at Millers Merry Manor, Huntington.
The Moultrie, Ga., native worked at Memcor for 27 years, retiring in 1977. She was a volunteer for the Huntington Hospital Guild.
Surviving are her daughter, Janice Unger of Bourbonnais, Ill.; sons, Wayne L. of Huntington and Dr. Keith R. of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Clarice Moore of Olathe, Kan.; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, James T., preceded her in death, as did a brother and two sisters.
Services were today. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery.
