Donald "Don" Lee Adams, father, brother, fisherman, and proud US Veteran passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 due to health complications after a courageous 7-year battle with lung cancer at the age of 76.
Don was born in 1938 in Eureka, KS to Felix and Louise Adams. He grew up on a farm outside of Eureka and was the first born of six siblings. Don once described his proudest achievement as becoming a father and raising his only son, Brian.
Don graduated from Eureka High School and went on to serve his country as a medic in the US Army. He was stationed in West Germany during the building of the Berlin Wall.
He will always be remembered for keeping his car shiny and spotless, and keeping a yard that looked like a golf course fairway.
He is survived by sisters, Theresa, Ellen and Sharon; brothers, David and Phil; and his son, Brian.
Graveside service with full military honors in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
