Rebecca Lee "Jewell" Tabb-Pearce, 88 years old of Abilene, Texas went on to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, March 17th 2015 while in the loving care of Hendricks Hospice "Angels", thus ending her earthly journey.

Jewell was born in Boyd Chapel, Texas on August 22, 1926 to Monroe & Lela Maye Rumfield Tabb and was a "big little sister" to Monroe Ericson Tabb. She grew up in and around Jones County, was a graduate of Hamlin High School class of 1944 and a proud Pied Piper. She went on to graduate as a stenographer from Draughn's Business College in Abilene Texas.

She married Foursquare Gospel Minister, Marvin Pearce of Artesia California on December 29, 1946. As well as being a faithful pastor's wife, Sunday school teacher, and mother to 5 children, she worked for Rita Barber as a seamstress, Timex and then retired from Texas Rehabilitation Commission. Upon retirement from the State of Texas, Jewell went on to operate her in home business of sewing for the public which included both Abilene Police and Fire Departments. She loved and called everyone she sewed for "her kids". Her last alteration was only three weeks ago.

Jewell served the Lord and "the church" with gladness. Her most recent service was with the body of believers at Church at The Cross in Abilene, Texas where she did everything from encourage her pastor from the front row during his sermons to scrubbing windows during the church work day and sponsored many a youth to summer camp. She loved being outside and "digging in the dirt", feeding and watching the birds and observing God's handiwork. Appropriately named Jewell, she was adorned with great love for her Lord and was blessed by Him. She shared this love not only with her family, but everyone she met. Jewell worshiped and walked with Jesus daily by being a lover of His Word and an intercessory prayer warrior, most particularly for her family. She was a nurturing care-giver, giving much of her life for the ones she loved. The embodiment of a Proverbs 31 wife, a virtuous woman and role model, her worth was far above rubies, the heart of her husband safely trusted her, she lacked nothing. She provided food for her household, and girded herself with strength. Her lamp never dimmed, she extended her hand to the needy. Jewell wasn't afraid of any storm. Strength and honor were her clothing and she rejoiced in all things. She opened her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue was the law of kindness. Her children rise up and call her blessed and her husband also praised her. She was our angel on earth now our guardian angel.

She is survived by her cherished brother, Monroe Ericson Tabb and wife Jesydean "her little sister" of McCaulley, Texas. Her children, David Pearce and wife Diane of Carrollton, Texas, Stephen Pearce and wife Tina of Abilene, Texas, Larry Pearce and wife Carol of Royse City, Texas, Twyla Pearce-Foreman and husband Craig of the community of Ericksdahl, Texas. Her grandchildren Gary Pearce and wife Kristin Pearce, Amie Pearce-Bedgood and husband Steven, Jerry Pearce, Stephanie Pearce, Micah Pearce, Rachel Pearce, Sara Pearce-Rodewald and husband Joe, Steele Pearce and wife Claire, Brylyn Foreman-Rohrdanz and husband Rick, Larysa Foreman-Wright and husband Justin, Garrison Foreman and wife Jacqueline. She was blessed with 16 beautiful great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marlene Rebecca Pearce, husband Marvin Frances Pearce, and parents, Monroe and Lela Maye Tabb.
