Funeral services for William A. Ragsdale, former Napan who died Saturday in a Costa Mesa hospital after a long illness, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail at Lincoln Avenue.

Concluding services at Tulocay Garden Mausoleum will be under the auspices of Napa Lodge No. 832, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, of which Mr. Ragsdale was a member.

Casket bearers will be Fred Adams, Reuben Peterson, William Parke s, Kyle Pinson, Henry Gould and Rainey Upton.

Mr. Ragsdale, 57, came to California from Illinois in 1932 and worked at the Norwalk State Hospital for four years before he came to Napa in 1936. He worked at Napa State Hospital for 17 years.

After leaving here 10 years ago, Mr. Ragsdale was on the staff at the state hospital in Atascadero for five years and then was assigned to Fairview State Hospital at Costa Mesa where he retired as an automotive equipment supervisor in May due to failing health. He was a member of the California State Employes Association.

Survivors include his widow, Pearl, of Costa Mesa; a brother, Mark Ragsdale of Santa Cruz; and two sisters, Mrs. Phyllis Allard of Vienna, Ill., and Miss Ella Ragsdale of Pontiac, Ill.
