She was born March 1, 1957 in Jefferson City, the daughter of Jack H. and Mary Lou Morland Durham. She was married on June 15, 1991 in Hartsburg Mo. to Ricky R. Evans who preceded her in death on October 14, 2014.
A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Kathy attended Jefferson City Public Schools.
Kathy was employed as a cook with the Jefferson City Public Schools until ill health forced her retirement.
She enjoyed gardening and was exceptionally gifted at making candy for family and friends. She loved all crafts, especially sewing, quilting, painting and crocheting.
Survivors include; one daughter, Chelsey Evans of Eugene Mo. one son; Shanon Durham and his wife Tanya of Jefferson City, her mother; Mary Lou Durham of Jefferson City, two brothers, Claude Durham and wife Kathy of Holts Summit, and John Durham and wife Brenda of Holts Summit; and seven grandchildren, Carter Lennaman, Karley Lennaman, Graceson Lennaman, Mercedes Durham, Madeline Durham, Tyler Durham and Taylor Durham.
She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, and one sister, Jackie L. Pinet.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a later time.
