Janice Lynn Trotter-Martinez of Midland Texas passed away
peacefully on Monday March 16 2015 surrounded by her loving husband and family members at Midland Memorial Hospital .
Janice was born May 19, 1958 in Long Beach CA to the late
Robert Dean and Patricia Iona Trotter. She was the 8th child of the 11 born to Robert and Patricia. After her father passed away the family moved to Joplin Missouri where she went to school and spent her younger years. She moved to New Mexico and met and married her first husband Albino Jacobo. They moved to Midland Texas where years later her husband Albino passed away. She later met and married Daniel Martinez in 1999. Janice enjoyed many outdoors adventures such as camping and fishing with her husband, relatives and friends. She was an animal lover and took in stray dogs and cats. She loved raising chickens and always gave them names. She was a great cook especially Mexican food and was very popular with her BBQ's in her neighborhood. She loved doing puzzles and crosswords. She and her husband Daniel loved traveling around the state and finding new places to camp and go fishing. They both loved going to the Casinos around their area and also playing bingo.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Midland. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and one stepsister . She is survived by her husband Daniel, two stepsons Daniel Louis and Matthew John Martinez, stepdaughter Victoria Rodriquez, all of Midland TX, Six brothers, Robert Trotter of CA and John, Tennessee, James, David Trotter and stepbrother Sargent Williams, all of Missouri.Five sisters, Deborah Rollins of AL, Nina Smith of AZ, Terry Hammontree of FL, Margie Allen and Machelle Trotter (Mickey) of MO. Seven step-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Rosary and Funeral Mass is set for Friday March 20, 2015 at 10:AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Midland TX. Cremation and burial will follow later.
