Her son Lawrence commented that she saved the family from starving when Walter had an accident and was disabled for several years. Her race winnings fed the family.
Some of the horses she trained that won races were Pussy Boots, owner W. Little. Miss Rosetown,owner W. Little and Liberty Boy, owner W. Little.
She divorced Walter in the 1950's and married Robert Roberts.
