Travis worked as a cook, bartender, and waiter, for The Village Inn, Sports Station, Island Grill, and Wapiti Grill, all of Loveland. He worked for Applebee's in Greeley and Fort Collins. He sold cars for King-Chamberlain motors in Loveland, as well as Dellenbach motors in Fort Collins. He was a mechanic for McGraw Tire Center and Grease Monkey, both of Loveland.
He was a passionate sports fan, particularly of the Denver Broncos, CSU Rams, and Colorado Rockies. He loved to play golf and softball. He was an aficionado of classic rock music. There weren't very many classic rock trivia questions that he didn't know the answer to. Travis may very well have possessed the biggest collection of classic rock compilation albums of all time.
He loved to spend time with his fiancé and love of his life, McKenzie. Travis always had a smile on his face! He was a very charismatic and loving man, who always made everyone around him feel welcome and important.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, as well as a few aunts and uncles. He is survived by his parents, fiancé, two sisters and brothers-in-law, brother and fiancé, two nieces, three nephews, extended family members, as well as many friends [survivors names omitted].
A celebration of Travis' life will be held at First Christian Church on Friday, June 1 at 2:00PM. As Travis was a big sports and classic rock fan, wearing something from your favorite sports team and/or classic rock band is greatly encouraged! Memorials can be made to the Travis Evans Memorial Fund care of Viegut Funeral Home.--Loveland Reporter-Herald, May 29, 2012
