Shreveport, LA - Buster Roy, 60, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Graveside services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Holly Springs Cemetery in Martin, LA with Pastor Earl Watson of Word of God Ministries officiating.
Buster Roy was born in Longview, TX and a resident of Shreveport for most of his life.
Buster Roy was preceded in death by his mother and father, Hazel and Willie Lawrence; brother, Jimmy Lawrence; son, Rebel Lawrence; nephew, Jonny Lawrence; and lifelong friend, Richard Ducote. He is survived by four daughters, Misty Lawrence, Stacey Lawrence, Rosie Lawrence, and Hazel Gilcrease and husband, Dylan; five sons, T. J. Lawrence, Daniel Miller, Lyndell Procell, Eddie Lonadier, and Wesley Lonadier and wife, Tay; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Pat Sonnier, Betty Strickland, Hattie Lawrence, and Susie Jelks and husband, Harvey; and one brother, Johnny Lawrence and wife, Linda.
Pallbearers will be Lyndell Procell, Jesse Miller, Travis Scott Lawrence, Donnie Triplett, Dalton Griffith, Todd Chavez and C. J. Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Abie Meshell, Danny Meshell, Daniel Miller, Travis Daniel Miller, Robert Lawrence, Bobby Ray Montgomery and Michael Meshell.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses at Willis-Knighton South as well as his God daughter, Angela Alford. A special thanks to his nephew, Robert and his wife, Kim. Thank you to all family and friends that loved Travis.
