Mr. Hunter was a native of Augusta, the son of Clayton M. Hunter and Vivian Renkl Hunter. He graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Grammer School, Riverside Military Academy and then attended the University of Georgia. Mr. Hunter served our country in the U.S. Navy where he was stationed on the USS Constellation. He worked in outdoor advertising and real estate. Mr. Hunter was a member of St. Mary-On-The-Hill Catholic Church.
Survivors include his nephew, Clayton D. Hunter of Ocala, FL and his niece, Kelly Hunter of New Smyrna, FL. Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his brother; Antone "Snooky" Hunter and sister; Helen Hunter O'Connell.
A graveside service will be held (today) Saturday, August 25th, 2007 at 10:00 AM in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Regan officiating.
