Jack Parks, 89, of Effingham, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Mattoon. He was the son of Etta Manuel and Edgar Parks.
Jack was born on February 3, 1926, in Effingham, IL. He married Evelyn Keller on May 12, 1950, in Mt. Vernon, IL. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2012.
Jack was a WWII Navy veteran.
He is survived by his daughter, Jayne (Tom) Schumacher of Effingham; grandsons, Kelly Schumacher of Effingham, Korey (Laura) Schumacher and their daughter, Gracie May Schumacher all of Teutopolis, and Derek (Erica) Schumacher of Teutopolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, followed by military rites with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham.
