Rebecca (Becky) Rhodes Coleman, 91, of Edison, died March 17, 2015 at Willowood Personal Care Home in Edison, Ga. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20-, 2015 at 11 AM at Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church with and Elder Kenneth Brantley and Elder Ross Plowden officiating. Burial will follow in the Mars Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be close family members. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM Rebecca was born Jan. 20, 1924, in Randolph County, Georgia to the late Marvin E. and Hortense Ingram Rhodes. She was married to Archie Coleman on Novemfber 2, 1941 and they celebrated 42 years of a loving life together before his death in February, 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Coleman Settles of Carrollton, Ga. and a brother, Aubrey Rhodes of Dawson, Ga. She is survived by her daughters, Marie C. Ford and Ernie of Edison, Ga. and Reba C. Goodin and Wayne of Cordele, Ga. and a son-in-law, Bill Settles of Carrolton, Ga. Grandchildren; Jennifer Settles Johnson and Bob of Round Rock, TX., David Settles and Melissa of Jacksonville, Fl. ,Jake Ford and Jaclyn of Alapaha, Ga., Leigh Ford Bruner and Matt of Blakely, Ga., Kate Goodin of Phoenix , Az. and Kasey Goodin Thigpen of Jacksonville, Fl.. Great-Grandchildren; Zack and Reese Johnson , Will and Ben Settles, J. Manry and Mabry Ford, and Cole, Taylor and Abby Bruner. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mars Hill Church Cemetery Fund, PO. Box 101, Edison, Ga. 39846. The family will be at the home place west of Edison.
