Anna L. Jackson was born in Orange township, Knox county, Ill., Dec. 15, 1844. She was married to George P. Wing, June 16, 1864. To this union were born eight children, five boys and three girls. Two baby girls passed away in infancy, and the dear father was called to the better home Oct. 11, 1894. After the departure of her faithful companion the dear mother made her home with her children ... About one year ago she came here from Arizona to make her home with her only daughter, Mrs. F. M. Stone. Soon after her arrival here her health began to fail and she was at last confined to her bed ... For sixteen long weeks she lay almost at the point of death ... But her dear Savior knowing best, and called her home Friday afternoon, Aug. 27 .... the burial being in the Holton cemetery. Those who came from a distance to attend the funeral were J. Z. Wing, Tuscon, Ariz., H. M. Jackson, Atchison, Nellie Wing, Prairie City, Iowa, Temple Smith, Kentucky ....

Drake..... Mrs. Wing was a resident of this neighborhood for a number of years but for the past 11 years has lived with her son, Jesse in Tuscon, Ariz., and Mrs. Fred Stone of Whiting.

Whiting..... Miss Wing, of Monroe, Iowa, is a guest of Mrs. F. N. Stone and family. She was called here by the death of her grandmother Mrs. A. L. Wing.
