Gerald H Keating was born in Omaha on December 15, 1940, to Hugh and Madeline Keating.
Later in life, Jerry spent most of his free time playing golf and bantering with his friends on and off the course.
He will forever be remembered and cherished for many things, especially as a loving husband, devoted dad, a remarkable grandfather, and a loyal friend.
Jerry Keating passed away peacefully at his home on March 16th with his devoted wife of 53 years by his side.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo and Tom.
Left with memories are his loving wife, Carole; his sons, Dan and Tom; his daughters, Teri Zuck (David) and Kellie Stubbs (Cliff); his "favorite" grandchildren: Courtney Fay, Alexa Zuck, Jackson Zuck, and Sedona Stubbs; sister-in-law, Ruth Keating; brother-in-law, Charlie Vacanti (Kay); and dog, Izzy. The family extends a special thank you to his wonderful caregiver, Josey Estes.
Celebration of Life and Visitation 5-7 pm Thursday, March 19th, followed at 7 pm by a Vigil Service, at the West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Friday, March 20th, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, Special Olympics, Madonna School, or Alzheimer's Association.
