Mrs. Henry Whitney died at her home at Plainfield, New Jersey, on Wednesday March 22, 1922, aged 72 years and 19 days.

The deceased was at one time a resident of this place. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira J. Stoddard, deceased, who were among the oldest and most highly respected citizens of this community, and a sister of Ira joy Stoddard, now of Newton. The remains were shipped to this city last Monday, accompanied by her husband and daughter, Miss Vida Whitney.

A short funeral service was held at Oakwood cemetery. Rev. A. C. Droz, of the Baptist church officiating after which the remains were laid to rest in the family lot beside those of her parents who had preceded her.
