Ball, Marion Watkins Marion Watkins Ball, born July 29, 1916 in Dallas, Texas the daughter of Benjamin T. Watkins and Amanda Ophelia Brooks, and the youngest daughter in a family of six, all of whom except one brother have predeceased her. She was a long time member of the Highland Park Presbyterian Church and resident of Presbyterian Village North in Dallas, Texas when at age of 93 she went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on November 4, 2009. Marion is survived by her daughter, Joe Ila Cates, retired; her sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald W. and Elena Livingston, a lawyer and Bert A. C. and Donna Kennedy, local business man; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren. Marion grew up in Dallas, Texas where she attended public and business school. In the late 30's she relocated to New Mexico where she lived and worked for many years. She moved to Oklahoma then returned to Dallas retiring in 1981. She loved Bible study; travel and genealogy. She was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Honorable Matron; a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the War of 1812; and the Daughters of the Confederate States of America. A memorial service will be held in the main building auditorium at Presbyterian Village North, located at 8600 Skyline Drive, in Dallas, TX beginning at 11 o'clock on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Private interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
