"Mary" Bateman Silvert, 85, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, in Spring Arbor of Winchester. Mrs. Silvert was born in 1927, in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Malinda Patra Bateman.
She was a retired Realtor with Thailheimer's Realty in Richmond, Virginia, having served for over 50 years. Mrs. Silvert attended Wesleyan Fellowship Church in Frederick County. She was an avid fan and season ticket holder of the Washington Redskins as well as a fan of the Atlanta Braves.
Her husband, Milton J. Silvert, whom she married in 1957, in Richmond, Virginia, preceded her in death.
Surviving is her sister Gaye Clark of Winchester; niece, Malinda Henkel and husband, Bill; nephew, Wesley Clark and wife Tammy, all of Winchester, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Mrs. Silvert was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Internment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service, from 12-1 p.m. at South Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wesleyan Fellowship Church, 2239 Martinsburg Pike, Winchester, Virginia 22603 or Round Hill Road, Winchester, Virginia 22602.
