Marilyn Jean Harris passed away peacefully in her sleep in the home on Tuesday, March 17th, 2015 in Elicott, CO of natural causes. She was 70.

She was born Marilyn Jean Bowman on March 31, 1944 in the backseat of the family car to Leo Calvin and Nola Belle Bowman in Burlington, Iowa. She married Dale Redburn on March 8th, 1960 in Garden City, KS and had seven children, Carol, Dexter, Rhonda, David, Tina, Michael and Alan. On July 12th, 1974, she married Kenneth Harris and they had one daughter, Katrina. She spent her life living in various states, but her favorite place was in California by the ocean. She loved travelling and sightseeing, and enjoyed being on the water with a fishing pole in hand.Family was always her first priority, but her grandkids held a special place in her heart.

Marilyn passed the time by crocheting, sewing and doing macrame. She loved to watch television and listen to music. Her later years were spent helping to raise he grandchildren. In 2003, she moved to Colorado and made many trips out of state to visit her loved ones

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Nola, her husband, Kenneth, one brother,Harold, two sisters, Sharon and Karen, her sons, Dexter and David, her daughter, Tina and four grandchildren, Brittany, Jennifer and Sheldon Redburn and Santiago Serna III. She is survived by her brothers Ronnie Bowman of Molino, FL, Lonnie Bowman of Dolton, SD, Mark Bowman of Denver, CO and Rick Bowman of Garden City, KS; her sisters Connie Lyons of Dolton, SD and
Vicki and her husband, Bruce Sinn of Brighton, CO; Her children Carol and her husband, Lance Ellis of Scott City, KS, Rhonda Redburn of Wichita, KS, Michael Redburn of Scott City, KS, Alan Redburn of St. Joseph, MO, and Katrina and her husband, John Stewart, of Ellicott,CO; her
stepchildren, Lisa and her husband, David Stone, of Beaverton, OR, Dawane and his wife, Denise Harris. of Salem, OR, Veronica Harris of Hobbs, NM; 28 grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren.

She will be cremated and a memorial service will be April 7, 2015 in Scott City, KS.
