​Margie Jane Bowen passed away on March 18, 2015. She was born in Blytheville, AR, November 21, 1939 to John Franklin and Bobbie Lou Bowen. Her twin sister Mary Jean Bowen preceded her in death in July 2009.

Jane graduated from Wilson High School (Wilson, AR). She graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Memphis, TN. She worked at Kennedy V.A. hospital as a staff nurse and then attended Nurse Practitioner School at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Jane received the Excellent Eleven of Tennessee Nursing Award before retiring from the Memphis V.A. in 2007 after 43 years of service.

She is survived by loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, March 23 in the Rotunda of Memorial Park Cemetery’s Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, "Behind the Stone Wall."
