Funeral services for Johnny Shipley, 66, of Winnsboro will be held 1 pm Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery Vicksburg, MS. Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm Monday, March 9, 2015, at the funeral home.
Mr. Shipley was born July 7, 1948 in Vicksburg, MS to the union of John Douglas, Sr. and Ethel Irene Turnbow Shipley and passed from this life on March 7, 2015 at his residence in Winnsboro.
Mr. Shipley was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Janice Shipley.
Survivors include his sister Lydia Tate of Oklahoma; close friends: Billy Joe Holley, Brian Cassels, Randy Cassels, Bill Easterling and Gerald Sadler; and a host of other friends.
Pallbearers will be Brian Cassels, Randy Cassels, Billy Joe Holley, Gerald Sadler and Billy Sullivan.
