Penny A Roscetti, "Road Queen," 58, of Riverton, passed on at 4:20 p.m. on March 14, 2015, at her home. She was born July 25, 1956, the daughter of James J. Roscetti "MOATS" of Riverton who passed on in 1972, and Lois A Roscetti, also of Riverton, who passed away in 2008. Penny graduated from Lanphier High School in 1975 and later joined the U.S. Marine Corps where she obtained the rank of corporal. While in the Marines she set the long jump record at Camp Lejeune which still hasn't been beat. Penny lived in Boonville, N.Y., from 1984-2001, at which time she returned to Riverton to care for her mother. Penny was a life member of the VFW, Marine Corps League in Boonville, N.Y., member of Operators Union 965, ABATE of Illinois, and the Leatherneck Motorcycle Club. As a Leatherneck, she obtained the title of IFC Chapter President, the first women to ever hold this title in the Leatherneck MC.
Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
