Arrived in the United States on 21st of April, 1857 on the ship, "Agnes", Captain Fried G. Schelling. The "Agnes" had left from Bremen, Germany - Anthony listed as a 22 year old Tailor from Bavaria with a final destination at Rochester, New York. He traveled in steerage.
He was a stable boy who fell in love with German aristocracy - they ran to this country. He never allowed English to be spoken in the house. He had a picture of the Kaiser over his bed which he turned over during WWI.
Died of Chronic Interstitial Nepritis, also had L. Hemiphlegia, died at 18 Priscilla Street Rochester NY, parents listed as being born in Germany,yet unknown now to me. Lived with Daughter Lena and son in Law William F. Schwartz on Vose Street in 1910 .

Obituary Published: "Anthony Kessler died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. William Schwartz, 18 Priscilla Street aged 89 years. He leaves seven daughters, Mrs. Richard Mink, Mrs. William Lawson, Mrs. Abraham Blekkenk, Mrs. Minnie Christiaans, Mrs. Frank Hubbard, Mrs. Bernard Ban Epps and Mrs. William Schwartz, and three sons, Alexander, Anthony, and William Kessler; fifty four grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren, all of Rochester, Monroe County, New York. The body is at the home of his daughter Mrs. Blekkink, 443 Central Park."

Anthony married Margaret (Margareth) Niner (Neidinger), daughter of Nicholas Niner (Neidinger) & C. Born on 27th of June 1843 in Bavaria (Germany) Baden. Margaret (Margareth) died on 20th of July 1905; she was 62.
