Mr. Mr. Christopher Day Church, Jr. age 33 of Millers Creek passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Winston Salem.

Funeral services for Mr. Church will be held Saturday 2:00 PM at Millers Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Joey Caudill and Rev. Derek Kilby officiating. Burial will be in the Charity Community Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00PM at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home,

Mr. Church was born in Forsyth County July 14, 1981 to Christopher Day Church, Sr. and Debra Lyall Church. He was a member of Charity United Methodist Church. Mr. Church was self-employed in Marketing.

In addition to his Father, he was preceded in death by his Grandfather; Bruce Lyall and Grandmother, Vernelle Church.

Mr. Church is survived by his Mother; Debra Lyall Church of Millers Creek, one sister; Chasity Church Harrold of Millers Creek, one niece: Sevyn Harrold; grandparents; Faye Lovette Lyall of Millers Creek, Day Parker Church of Millers Creek and John and Ila Dean Hayes of North Wilkesboro.

Christopher was actively involved in politics around the state, He acted as campaign manager and consultant for both local and statewide candidates. His interest in politics started early with influence by his great-grandfather. Chris was active in the Young Democrats Club in high school and was instrumental in helping high schools start other chapters around the state.

Pallbearers will be Josh Harrold, Allen Carpenter, Wesley Holbrook, Wesley Golds, Wade Palmer and Larry Carol Marley.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Millers Creek Cub Pack 399, 178 Fairmont Drive, North Wilkesboro, N.C. 28659.
