Joyce was a lifelong resident of Eagletown, Oklahoma where she attended and graduated from Eagletown High School. She was just a fun person to be around. Joyce worked for many years at Poulan Industries in DeQueen, and she loved playing basketball and baseball.
Joyce met and later married Paul Polk on June 19th, 1987.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Henry and Leoma Stafford.
Those Joyce leaves to cherish her memories include: her husband, Paul Polk of the home; one son, Tameco Polk of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six sisters, Ola Faye Stafford of Troy, Ohio, Merkie Mae Woods and husband Dr. Oliver of DeQueen, Rosie Davis and husband Rev. Wylie of Idabel, Oklahoma, Doretha Grusendoff of Eagletown, Iola Coulter of DeQueen, and Alma Jewel Stafford of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; four brothers, Rev. Clarance Stafford and wife Delorise of Troy, Ohio, Jessie Lee Stafford and wife Chriss of Huber Heights, Ohio, Rev. Winfred Stafford and wife Kathy of Dayton, Ohio, and Cotis Stafford of Troy, Ohio; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funerals arrangements are set for 1 P M Saturday March 21, 2015 at the Eagletown Gym with Rev. E. A Edwards officiating.
Interment will follow at the Busy Bee Cemetery, Eagletown, Ok.
The family will welcome friends from 5-7 Friday March 20th at the funeral home.
