Paul Casna, Sr., a resident of Glen Carbon, died at his home there Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. He was 68 years, one month and 12 days of age, having been born in Tryol, Austria on July 16, 1872.
Mr. Casna was married to Miss Rose Dapra in Austria 47 years ago. He was a coal miner and belonged to local 686. He was a member of St. Cecelia's Catholic Church at Glen Carbon.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rose Casna, a daughter, Miss Mary Casna of Marine and three sons, Fred and Paul of Edwardsville and John of Collinsville. Also surviving are three grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the Straube Funeral Home to the residence Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Services will be held from the residence at 8:30 o'clock Saturday morning to St. Cecelia's Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Rev. E.J. Eckhard will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
