Louis L. Clark, longtime Hermiston resident was born on November 3, 1932 in South Wheatland Township, Decatur, Illinois to parents, Bonnie and Elva Adams Clark. He died on March 17, 2015 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 82 Years. Louis was raised and attended school in Harristown, Illinois, graduating from Niantic-Harristown High School in 1950. He joined the United States Marines Corps in 1952 and was stationed in Japan before his honorable discharge with the rank of Sergeant. Louis was united in marriage to Barbara Hamilton on June 10, 1955 in Decatur, IL. He worked as a welder for USI in Villa Grove, IL and later for Firestone Tire as a machinist in Decatur, IL until his retirement in 1986. They moved to Mount Carmel, IL and then to Hermiston, Oregon in 1987 where they have lived since. Louis was very active in the Masonic Blue Lodge where he was Past Master, Commandery and Consistory, Shrine 32nd Degree State Secretary, and held multiple offices in the Ansar and Al Kader Temples. Louis had a passion for collecting and delivering donations for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Oregon. He was well known for his little yellow Shriners car that he drove in many regional parades over the years. Louis enjoyed hunting, playing pinochle, and was a devoted grandpa. He was a maker of many products from his wood working shop ranging from small items to furniture. He was a member of the First Christian Church and a former member of the Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Barbara Clark, Hermiston, OR; daughters: Marianne Farney & husband Thomas, Hermiston, OR and Diane Mueggler & husband Scott, Kennewick, WA; son: David Clark, Hermiston, OR; sister: Betty Marsaglia & husband Don, Sun Prairie, WI; 4 grandchildren: Daniel (Scarlet), Annamarie (Lewis), Barbi (Devin), & Caitlin (Beth); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, George Clark and a sister, Eleanor Borders.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon, with Masonic Ritual.

Burial with military honors will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
