FRED P. BOCHMANN,, 76, of Colorado Springs died Thursday in Hartsel. He was a grounds maintenance supervisor for Colorado Springs School District 11 before retiring. Mr. Bochmann had worked for the Colorado Springs Police Department for 10 years and organized the department's traffic bureau. He also was a bus driver when the bus system was established in Colorado Springs.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Shrine of Rest Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Mr. Frank Labarbera officiating. Entombment will be in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum.
Mr. Bochmann was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Colorado Springs, to Frederick and Verniece (Cruts) Bochmann. He lived in the community all his life. Mr. Bochmann attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He was a member of the Colorado Historical Society.
He was married March 3, 1929, in Denver, to Frances Hill, who survives.
Mr. Bochmann also is survived by a son, Fred of Manzanola; a brother, Leonard of Colorado Springs; and two grandchildren.
