Cathy E. Haynes Thompson, age 60, of Gas City, passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2015.
Cathy was born in Marion, Indiana on Sunday, September 5, 1954 to Robert and Barbara Haynes-Stewart. She married Ronald R Thompson, Sr. on January 23, 1972. They were married 43 Years.

Cathy was a mid-term graduate of Marion High School in 1972. She then graduated from Ivy Tech nursing program. She operated Calling Inc. from Dec 2000 until June of 2014. She loved spending time with her family, crocheting and reading. Cathy was also a big Elvis and Lawrence Welk fan, and was very artistic. She was a 20 year member of the Gas City Moose, and Marion Bunco Club.

Cathy is survived by her husband: Ronald Sr., Gas City; daughter, Aimee (Chris Carter) Thompson of Gas City; son, Ronald Jr. (Heather) Thompson of Bluffton; daughter, Ashlee (Jacob) Wright of Gas City; her grandson, Michael (Kristen Poling) whom she helped raise since the age of two, grandchildren, Alyssa (Matt Eakins), Alaynee, Hadlee, Samara, Anthony, Zoe, Adrian and Andrew; great-grandson, Ryder; brother, Michael (Debra) Haynes of Marion; sisters, Terrie Haynes of Gas City, and Tammi Cunningham; sisters-in-law, Joan Welch of Marion, and Janet (Ronald) Leech of Florida; several nieces and nephews; step-brothers, Vic and Robert “Bob” Cunningham; step-sisters, Nancy Jones, Becky Shafer and Cindy Stewart; special niece, Stacie Timmons; adopted children, Leah Woolsey, Lynnette Thompson and Calvin Brown; best friends, Valerie and Danny Enyeart and Debbie Gallion; and her dog, Dexter.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Haynes and Barbara Haynes Cunningham Stewart; mother-in-law, Mary C Richardson; her step-fathers who raised her, F. Paul Cunningham and James A Stewart; grandsons, Isiah and Joshua; and sister-in-law, Tracy Goodpaster

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Father James Warnock officiating.
