Ian Christopher Davis, age 13, of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015, in Casey County, KY.
Born March 18, 2001, in Boyle Co., KY, he is the son of John and Crystal Wilson Davis. Ian was an 8th grade student at Casey County Middle School. He was a member of the Casey County 4-H Club, where he participated in the Straight Shooters Club. Ian enjoyed hunting, riding his 4-wheeler, and being outdoors. He was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, John and Crystal Wilson Davis of Liberty; sister, Addison Davis of Liberty; maternal grandparents, Earl and Brenda Wilson of Liberty; aunts, Melissa Durham and Susan Helm, both of Yosemite; uncles, Steve (Connie) Davis of Versailles and Jimmy Couch of Liberty; and cousins, Blake, Tanner, Cierra, Angella, Matthew, and Sara.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Marguerite Davis.
Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the Casey County Middle School Gymnasium with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-9 PM at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and from 8AM until 2PM on Thursday at the funeral home. There will also be visitation on Thursday from 4-5PM at the Casey County Middle School Gymnasium.
