Mrs. Amelia F. Hall, Widow of the late Henry C. Hall, died at her residence on Cortland street early Thursday morning, after an illness of only a few days. Sunday evening she was stricken with apoplexy and except for a brief interval a few hours later, did not rally from the shock. Amelia Foote was the daughter of the late Isaac Foote and was born in the town of Smyrna on August 7, 1841. December 21, 1866 she was married to Henry C. Hall of Norwich, and moved to Norwich, and she made her home continuously since that time. Mr. Hall died in 1875. She is survived by one daughter, Mary, of Norwich, and two sons, Charles F. of New York city, and Henry C. of Norwich. One brother, Frederick Foot of Binghamton, and one sister, Miss Margaret Foote of Orange, N.J., also survive. Funeral services will be held from her late residence on Cortland street, Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Daniel W. Dexter officiating, Burial in Mt. Hope. Mrs. Hall was a member of the First Congregational church and actively interested in church work. Home duties and the bringing up of her children, who were of tender age when the father died, have not prevented her from many kind ministrations in the homes of the sick and afflicted, and very many hearts which she has helped to comfort and console in times of sorrow and sorrowing again in her death and going in tenderest sympathy to her bereaved family.
