Virginia F. Neal, 86, Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2010, at Holzer Senior Care in Gallipolis, Ohio.

She was born February 3, 1923 in Mason County; a daughter of the late Frank and Marie Mayes. She was a homemaker and attended Main Street Baptist Church in Point Pleasant in earlier years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otho W. Neal; sons, Joseph R. Neal and Thomas Neal; grandchildren, Tommy Cobb, Jr., Tina Cain, and Timmy Cain; and 10 brothers and sisters.

She was a mother to all who knew her, especially to her children and grandchildren whom survive her; Diana Whitt of Ohio, Barbara Cobb of Midway, Charlotte Cain of Ohio, Dreama Pennycook of Point Pleasant, Susan Knight of Ohio, Darlene Bagshaw of Fla., Laura Chapman of Point Pleasant, Deborah Georgi of Point Pleasant, Taresa Stanton of Point Pleasant, Kenneth Neal of Midway, Michael Neal of Ohio, and Joseph M. Neal of Point Pleasant; sister, Mary Mayes of Gallipolis, Ohio; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends that will miss her.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, at the Deal Funeral Home with Rev. Marshall Bonecutter officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
