Rosemary Nix Jordan, 88, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on March 25, 2012. She was born in River Forest, IL, on March 22, 1924. Rosemary received her bachelor's degree from Dennison University and a Master's degree in Library Science from Rosary College in 1960. She married Sidney Jordan on February 24, 1965. Rosemary worked for the Toledo Public Library system in Toledo, OH, for many years. She lived in Toledo, OH, until 2000, and spent the rest of her life in Albuquerque, NM. She was a prolific poet, a lover of mysteries, was a long time volunteer for the National Alliance of Mental Illness, and enjoyed the love of many pets over the years. She is survived by her children, Carolyn (Nicholas) del Castillo of Albuquerque, NM, David R. Jordan of Albuquerque, NM, and grandchildren, Jackson and Samuel del Castillo of Albuquerque, NM. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Casas de Vida Nueva, 8135 Florence Avenue NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, a sustainable therapeutic farm community for adults with mental health needs.
