HELEN ZIMMERMAN
Mrs. Helen Berkheimer Zimmerman, 81, of 243 South Morgan Street, Waynesburg, died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 1973 in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Although she had not been in the best of health, death was unexpected.
Born August 13, 1891 in Blair County near Holidaysburg, she was the daughter of Walter and Henrietta Hull Berkheimer, and was the widow of the late Charles (Charley) Zimmerman, who died July 28, 1969.
Mrs. Zimmerman had spent nearly all her life in the Waynesburg area, and was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church and of the Women's Sunday School class of that church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Knight, of Waynesburg; a son, Stanford (Zip) Blair Zimmerman also of Waynesburg; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Marshall (Velma) Simmons of Spraggs R. D. 1, 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
With five sisters and one brother deceased, she was the last of her immediate family. One grandson is also deceased.
