Joe was raised in Springfield, MO, worked at Breese and Sons for many years plus SOMO. He was also a member of Brown Street Baptist Church. Joe like to fish, work on every automobile he could get his hands on.
Joe was preceded in death by his infant daughter Judy Mae Westmoreland; both parents; and 2 brothers Jim and John David. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bertha; 3 sisters: Mary Ruth, Shirley, Dorothy; 8 children: Carolyn Sayre, Joe R., Jackie, Mary Abney, Donna Powell, Jerry, Jimmy and Barbara Kerns; 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
