Talmadge Barnes
CLOVER
Talmadge Leonard Barnes, 53, of 104 Park Street in Clover, died at his home at 9:45 P.M. after several months of declining health.
Mr. Barnes was a lifelong resident of Cherokee and York counties and a retired textile worker.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maude Wallace Barnes, two bothers, James of Cherryville, N.C., and Charles Barnes of Hildebrand, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. M.L. Cothran of Gaffney.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at 4 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Clover by the Rev. R.L. Edwards. Burial was in Woodside Cemetery with the Gordon-Harrison Mortuary of Blacksburg, in charge.
Pallbearers were Sonny Compton, Aden Hodges, Allen Boyd, J.B. Young, R.L. Russell, J.D. Davis.
