SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. LUCY McALISTER

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy McAlister, 39, Flagstaff, Ariz., were held Saturday, September 12, in the First Baptist church of Flagstaff with Rev. James Nelson officiating.

Mrs. McAlister was killed in an automobile accident, Monday, September 7, near Snowflake, Ariz. She was born in Bastrop, La., May 22, 1914, and had lived in Flagstaff for the past seven years.

Her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jones, Pickens, attended the funeral services.

Her Father's Obituary Added:

Sam B. Jones, 96, formerly of Pickens, died Thursday in Albuquerque, N.M. He lived in Pickens most of his life and was one of the pioneer woodsmen in the McCurtain County area, having served as a lumber supervisor for the Choctaw and then Dierks lumber companies. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Pickens, with the Rev. Odell Stewart officiating. Burial will be in the Battiest Cemetery, under the direction of Norwood Funeral Home.

Survivors include four sons, Sam Jones, Pinetop, Ariz., Owen Jones, Casa Grande, Ariz., Sylvester Jones, Flagstaff, Ariz., and Tinie Aimsworth, Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Jo Dunkin and Zula Hamilton, both of Albuquerque; one sister, Minnie Hanbey, Basprap, La.; one nephew, James O. Baker, Broken Bow; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and six great, great grandchildren.
