Doris Laverne Brooks Miles, age 79 and a resident of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, March 15th, at her home. Born April 27, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harold Brooks and Gladys Chipman Brooks. Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Miles Jr as well as four brothers: Gene, Tommy Mickey and John Vernon Brooks and one sister, Karen Brooks.
Doris was a homemaker and native of Gallatin County. She is survived by two sons: Steve Miles (wife Tracy) of Warsaw and Timmy Miles (wife Debbie) also of Warsaw; one daughter: Connie Liter (Gale) of Hanover In; two brothers: Ritchey and Kenny Brooks both of California and two sisters: Rose Mary Brooks of Florida and Lucille Leek of Warsaw; Five grandchildren: Layne, Josh, Jeremy, Doug and Neil and ten great grandchildren: Laura, Lexee, Landen, Ayden, Addisyn, Claire, Finn, Julian, Adrian and Lakian.
Visitation was held Thursday, March 19th, from 4pm until 8pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services were held Friday beginning at 11am. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery.
