Rock Musician. He will be best remembered as the bass player for the ensemble "Toto". Born into a musical family, the son of jazz drummer Joe Porcaro, his brothers Steve Porcaro and Jeff Porcaro were bandmates in "Toto". Formed in 1978, Mike replaced bassist David Hungate following their Grammy Award-winning album "Toto IV" (1982). He first recorded as a member on their album "Isolation" (1984) and remained an active performer until the advanced stages of ALS progressed. He died of complications from the disease.
