A native of Kirwin, Kansas, he came to California 13 years ago, residing in El Dorado county for the last nine. De Bey was employed as a heavy duty repairman for Walsch Construction and belonged to operating engineers local union 3.
He is survived by his wife, Helen "Marcy" M. De Bey of Pollock Pines; a son, Timothy Eugene De Bey of Pollock Pines; a daughter, Ruth Lynette De Bey of Sacramento; two brothers, Melvin De Bey of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Lawrance De Bay of Manhattan, Kansas and his mother Mrs. Lenora De Bey of Ft. Morgan, Colorado.
Funeral services will be at the Chapel of the Pines tomorrow at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Richard E. Eggert of the First Baptist church in Shingle Springs officiating.
Interment will be at Placerville Union cemetery.
Family request remembrances to be sent to the Heart Fund through the Chapel of the Pines."
