MEADOWVIEW, Va. Paul Wilcox, age 84, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 13, 2015, at his home. He was born August 29, 1930, in Washington County, Virginia, a son of the late Arthur Wilcox and Annie Perkins Wilcox. He lived his entire life in Washington County. He was a truck driver for Roanoke City Mills for many years and retired from Sterling Casket Company. He was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church and was a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara L. Wilcox; one daughter, Edith Marie Wilcox; six brothers and five sisters. Survivors include one son, Ronnie Wilcox and wife Sharon of Meadowview; two granddaughters, Sharon Ficken of Knoxville, Tenn. and Vicki Campbell and husband Anthony of Glade Spring, Va.; six great-grandchildren, Tori, Brianna, Elizabeth, Dakota, Hannah, and Edward; one brother, Kenneth Wilcox of Sidney, Ohio; one sister, Bly Gobble of Meadowview; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 15, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Frost Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 16, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Findley and the Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadowview. Pallbearers will be Anthony Campbell, Mark McNew, Matt McNew, Charles Clifton, Paul Denton, and John Woodward. Honorary pallbearers will be Garnett Hinchey, Preston Fuller, Jackie Thomas, and Nathaniel White.
